I’ve left behind the pleasant towns and headed into the hills, crossing from the Basque Country into Navarra. Quite a short walk today, 17km, due to limited accommodation options. But I’m in a delightful B&B where the young couple who own the house have been plying me with green tea all afternoon. They have promised me a magnificent dinner at 9pm and breakfast at 8.30.
Pilgrimage 
I thought this pilgrimage was meant to teach you hardship. I shall expect to see a tent and a boiled potato supper tomorrow!
