It’s Saturday in another charming small town in Navarra, Viana. The approach to these towns is always the same. You see the town ahead, in among the hills, and as you get closer you can see the church in the centre and at the highest point. You enter the town through narrow winding streets to protect against the summer sun until you reach the church. This is where the bars and shops are found. Between the towns are endless vineyards and the Camino track is bordered with poppies, daisies, thistles and other wild flowers. Add some powerful dark clouds and it’s a landscape you can never forget.
