Day 43 – A Day in Astorga 

I’ve stopped in Astorga before tackling the mountains ahead. There is a pleasant cathedral which opens from 9.00 to 10.30 and the adjoining Bishops Palace designed by Gaudi. Otherwise it’s rather quiet. Thank you Amazon for your Kindle app. 

The Camino passes my small hotel opposite the cathedral and it was  a pleasure to meet SG from Hawaii for lunch as she sensibly passed through town on her way. I’ll be following tomorrow…
